Today, we used the left over fruit to make fruit kebabs! We enjoyed our lovely healthy snack in the sunshine 🙂
Once our designs had been carved into the polystyrene, we rolled printing ink out and created our repeating patterns in the style of William Morris. We printed using alternative patterns and used two colours to see the effect that it made. We then used our printing blocks and natural resources to create a class tapestry.
This week we are getting messy with lots of printing! We have learnt about William Morris who is an artist that focuses on printing, using nature as his influence. The children have practised printing with different materials to see the contrast in the effect this has, and designed their own printing block to print later is afternoon. The children have used nature as their influence.
